Filthy McNasty's Irish Dive Bar Opens in St. Mary's Street, Cardiff
Our first venue opening of the year is now live.
Filthy McNasty's has opened on St Mary's Street, taking over the former DnB Bar site and introducing a new dive bar concept to Cardiff city centre.
The idea was simple. Build the kind of place that doesn't need explaining.
Good drinks. Loud music. Late licences. No unnecessary layers of polish.
Filthy McNasty's sits somewhere between an Irish pub and a dive bar. Guinness, chicken wings, spice bags, live music, weekly events and a room full of people who came for a good night rather than a photoshoot. The venue joins Temple Bar Cardiff in our portfolio but takes a very different approach. If Temple Bar is the older brother, Filthy is the one that arrives home at 4am with a story that's probably best left untold.
Opening venues in the current market isn't easy, which makes getting projects like this over the line even more rewarding. A huge amount of work went into transforming the site and getting the doors open.
Steve Lewis, Director of Breaking Brands, said:
"We're excited to be launching our first venue of the year, right in the heart of St Mary's Street. Filthy McNasty's is our take on a classic dive bar: stripped back, unpretentious and built around great drinks, good music and an atmosphere that doesn't try too hard."
Filthy McNasty's is now open.
